One of football’s most historic brands, Pantofola d’Oro have been at the top of the bootmaking tree since the 1950s. Greats of the game such as John Charles, Ferenc Puskas, Garrincha, Johan Cruyff, Roberto Mancini, Marco van Basten, and Jurgen Klinsmann have worn the “Golden Slipper” over the years – a name coined by Wales and Juventus legend Charles when he first tried on the boots given to him by Pantofola’s expert shoemaker, Emidio Lazzarini, over half a century ago.

Soft Ground
Soft Ground (SG) soleplates are specifically designed for use on wet and soft to very soft natural grass pitches that may also be muddy and/or waterlogged. Used worldwide, mainly during winter months, boots made for soft ground have removable, replaceable screw-in studs that can be plastic, entirely metal, or metal-tipped and typically come in a six-stud configuration – four at the forefoot, two slightly longer at the heel.
