Ground Type Guide
Selecting the correct sole plate for the surface you are playing on is crucial, not only for the performance and longevity of your football boots, but also to avoid the risk of injury.
Using an outsole that isn't designed specifically for the surface on which you are playing may cause premature wear and/or damage that will not be deemed as a fault of manufacture and will prevent the retailer accepting them for a refund or exchange.
Firm Ground
Boots with Firm Ground soleplates are only to be used on natural short-grass surfaces that is firm underfoot but may be slightly wet.
Designed specifically for this playing surface, they offer acceleration, comfort and enhanced traction, dispersing stud pressure evenly across the foot.
FG soleplates are fixed (not removable) and are used worldwide; wetter countries tend to use them spring to autumn.
FG boots are not to be used on artificial ground (AG) surfaces as the construction is not designed for the extra friction.
FG boots used on AG surfaces will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first fit the cleats did feel like they were a good size; however, once we took them out to the soccer fields we realized they were a little big for our comfort. The design is a true classic and we loved the hints of blue throughout! The fabric was smooth and soft to the touch. We enjoyed the retro look of the cleat and the added cushioning the most about this cleat. The only thing we would change is added ankle support and making the cleat more true to size or advertising that they tend to “run big” in size. Overall, we enjoyed turning heads on the soccer fields & the added cushioning to drive those balls into the back of the soccer net!!!

Soft upper meant little to no break in time, and nice long laces with good grip ensure a secure fit and easy to double-knot (no one wants to stop a game to tie shoes!). Nike shoes always offer consistent sizing for my growing boys, and these were no exception. My eight year old is keen to define his own style, and he doesn’t love flashy colored footwear - the sleek styling and colorway on this pair was perfect, and he loved the look. The first wear led to a winning match, and these are now my son’s “lucky shoes”. After several wears, they seem to be holding up great!

These shoes are great because they are flexible, light and comfortable on his feet. My son does not like shoes so finding the proper shoe, especially playing sports is important and he has fallen in love with these shoes.
We thought they were going to be a little too narrow for his feet. However, they were perfect fit, and he’s able to wear socks within the shoes as well. He loved the design, the color which is blue, which is one of his favorite colors.

As the day went by I watched her play in what started out with beautiful 70 degree weather turn into light flurries of snow. JR Legend 10 Academy FG/MG gives you all the traction you need. The soft leather material makes it great for handling extreme play with maximum comfort. These cleats will provide a win I guarantee it!

The material was soft and flexible but still durable. Super light weight cleat so they were easy on her travel She was able to bend, kick, and curl without any complaints. The cleats had great grip without being slippery. The design was simple and fashionable. It went perfect with both of her uniforms. Her foot is a bit wide and they were still comfortable. The shoestrings stay tied and have not fringed. Overall great soccer cleat.

Great for Young Athletes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These cleats fit great right out of the box. The soft upper makes for an easy to no break in process. The laces are nice and long so you can double knot them so they don’t come untied during practice. The colors are basic but make for easy pairing with any uniform. The material makes them easy to wipe clean which is nice. They seem durable enough to last for a season or two. I like to go a half size up in cleats to leave room for thick socks and bulky shin guards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material of the cleat is different from other cleats I’ve bought from Nike, it has more of a synthetic look and feel. He still found them comfortable albeit a little stiff, and they were perfectly snug on his feet. They’ve held up fine in the three games he’s had so far and the unique fabric makes cleaning them a breeze. Love that they’re made with the earth in mind too! Will definitely use them at practice but maybe get another more supportive pair for games.

Very versatile and comfortable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all these cleats are gorgeous! They have a very low profile and the mostly black coloring makes them really standout. They are very thin and allow more feeling when your foot makes contact with the ball. My 9 year old son has had no complaints about fit or comfort. In fact he stated that these are the most comfortable cleats he has had in a long time. They did feel pretty stiff when we first got them but he was able to break them in pretty quickly.
