Men's Nike Alphafly Running Shoes

Men's Nike Alphafly running shoes sit at the top end of Nike's road racing range, built for runners chasing fast half marathon and marathon times. The current Alphafly 3 remains the main race-day option in the collection, while the new Nike Alphafly 4 is coming soon as the next generation of Nike's high-stack carbon racer.

The Alphafly 3 combines ZoomX cushioning, twin forefoot Air Zoom units and a full-length carbon Flyplate to create the big, propulsive ride the Alphafly name is known for. It is at its best when the pace is high and the distance is long, whether that means marathon-pace sessions, key long runs or race day itself.

Nike Alphafly 4 keeps that same basic formula but refines it rather than starting again. The upcoming model adds new ZoomX LT foam, lighter and more compliant Air Zoom units, a wider Flyplate and forefoot platform, revised Atomknit and a new Fast Shot outsole. Nike claims the complete shoe is 5% lighter than the Alphafly 3 with 10% more energy return.

Visually, the Alphafly 4 is still unmistakably an Alphafly. The change is more evolution than reinvention, with the focus on making the existing platform lighter, broader and more efficient for long-distance racing.
