Description

Standout on the Stamford Bridge concourse with the Score Draw Chelsea 1998 Blackout Shirt in Blackout, an official retro jersey that remixes the Blues’s home jersey worn during the 1997/98 and 1998/99 seasons.

The year 1998 was certainly a memorable one for Chelsea fans. After a falling out between Ruud Guillit and chairman Ken Bates, Gianluca Vialli took over from the Dutchman as manager while continuing to lead the line as the club's star striker. He led the Blues to three trophies in a calendar year, securing the League Cup and UEFA Cup Winners' Cup before starting the 1998/99 season with a win over Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup. Gianfranco Zola and Gus Poyet were among the stars Vialli had at his disposal, and he also gave a debut to a 17-year-old John Terry.

This jersey keeps key features from the original, such as the tone-on-tone stripes pattern and open neck collar, but with a black-out colour scheme that brings extra attitude to your fit. Official detailing like the retro club crest and sponsor gives the shirt an authentic look.
