First Look: Harry Kane's Skechers SKX 2 Ballon d'Or Boots

73 goals. 73 pairs. One Ballon d’Or.

Harry Kane’s achievement has given Skechers a moment few football brands can claim: the opportunity to celebrate the game’s highest individual honour through its signature athlete. The result is this - The Mark of Greatness, a commemorative special edition SKX_2 Elite football boot and now made available to the public.

The name draws its meaning from the 73 goals Kane scored during his award-winning season. Skechers has translated that number into a bespoke emblem, featuring a lion holding a key and incorporating Kane’s initials with the number 73. 

So that means just 73 pairs worldwide, one for every goal Kane scored during the 2025/26 season. Dressed in white and gold, the release features a chrome-gold soleplate, Kane’s signature and individually numbered heel detailing.

Each pair also includes a commemorative booklet celebrating the Skechers journey so far. The booklet is added into a sealed golden envelope, complimenting the elevated package for this super limited release. Quite a unique moment for a brand still very much in its' infancy in performance football. 

Kane recieved his own pair of the SKX2 special edition, but as expected his pair adds even more rarity - a 24karat gold leaf one-of-one, that will be worn on pitch for one game against Dortmund on 31st October.

The release drops through a raffle at Pro:Direct opening at 09:00 GMT on October 30th giving you 24-hours to enter. Successful applicants will be selected at random on 31st October.

Three years is a long time in football. Kane’s surprise announcement as lifetime ambassador launched Skechers’ arrival in performance football back in 2023. The original SKX_01 introduced the brand to the elite game and has evolved into the SKX 2 with more still to come.
