First Look: adidas Y-3 x El Clasico Pack

Twenty years after Yohji Yamamoto introduced the original Beast Pack on the adidas +F50.6 Tunit, the Dragon and Tiger are back on the pitch. The adidas Y-3 Beast Limited Collection brings two of football's most recognisable archive designs onto the latest F50 Hyperfast and Predator 26, ready for El Clásico on 25 October.

Launching at Pro:Direct Soccer on October 23rd 2026, both boots are available in adult Elite FG versions for £250, with kids' Elite FG models priced at £170.

The original 2006 collection featured four designs: Dragon, Tiger, Eagle and Wolf, taking inspiration from the artwork of Japanese artist Taishi Hayashi. Each was built around the interchangeable +F50.6 Tunit, complete with its distinctive lace cover. The designs have since become collector favourites, returning in retro form earlier this year before this latest move onto adidas' current performance boots.

adidas Y-3 F50 Hyperfast

The Dragon returns to the adidas F50, where the artwork first appeared in 2006. This time, the blue and white illustration covers the modern F50 Hyperfast upper, with the Dragon's face dominating the forefoot and scale-like detailing running towards the heel. Black Three Stripes cut through the design, while Yohji Yamamoto's signature and an iridescent soleplate complete the look.

It's quite a departure from the old Tunit underneath. The F50 Hyperfast Elite uses adidas' lightweight F50 Skin+ construction, Sprintweb texturing and the F50 Speedsystem+ soleplate, built around acceleration and quick movement. The artwork is straight out of the archive, but the boot itself belongs firmly to 2026.

Lamine Yamal and Brahim Díaz are among the players set to wear the Dragon during El Clásico, bringing one of adidas' most memorable F50 designs back into competitive football.

adidas Y-3 Predator 26

The Tiger makes its first appearance on the adidas Predator, taking artwork originally created for the Tunit and adapting it to the Predator 26 Elite Fold-Over Tongue.

An orange, black and white Tiger illustration covers the upper, with its face across the forefoot and stripes extending towards the heel. The white Three Stripes and fold-over tongue give it a recognisable Predator shape, while Yohji's signature and the translucent soleplate connect it to the F50 Dragon.

Underneath, it's the current Predator 26 Elite, complete with a NANOSTRIKE+ upper, STRIKEFRAME soleplate and POWERSPINE midfoot reinforcement. The fold-over tongue is particularly fitting for this collaboration, bringing another piece of adidas football boot heritage into a design that already has plenty of it.

Jude Bellingham and Raphinha are set to represent the Tiger during El Clásico, putting the Predator opposite the F50 Dragon on one of football's biggest stages.

The Beasts Are Heading to El Clásico

The adidas Y-3 Beast Limited Collection launches in limited quantities at Pro:Direct Soccer on October 23rd 2026, ahead of El Clasico on October 25th.

  • adidas F50 Hyperfast Elite x Y-3 FG: £250
  • adidas Predator Elite Tongue x Y-3 FG: £250
  • adidas Kids F50 Hyperfast Elite x Y-3 FG: £170
  • adidas Kids Predator Elite Tongue x Y-3 FG: £170

Two designs from the original Tunit collection, now spread across adidas' biggest speed and control silos. The Dragon returns to familiar territory, while the Tiger finally gets its Predator moment.

I've spent most of my life playing football, with running filling the gaps when the pitches are waterlogged. Somewhere along the way, I've developed a bit of an obsession with football boots and running shoes. From fit and feel to the latest tech, I'm usually the person people ask about footwear. Just don't ask my teammates how often I change boots.
