Wilson RF 01 Tennis Racket DEMO

Follow in the footsteps of Roger Federer with the Wilson RF 01 Tennis Racket DEMO in Black/Blue, featuring SABR Frame Design that cuts through the air to create a powerful swing and extra manoeuvrability. PLEASE NOTE: This is a demo racket. For full details of our demo programme, head to our FAQs page.

The Swiss Maestro has shared his expertise to enhance the Wilson RF 01 Tennis Racket DEMO for the benefit of future Grand Slam champions. The RF 01 is 20 grams lighter than the RF 01 Pro, providing a more playable option for aspiring and casual players, while still playing and responding in the same manner as Federer requires of his own racket, capable of commanding control of rallies and crafting winners.Glide Guard bumper and grommet design and SABR Frame Design technology creates a more aerodynamic frame for fast accelerations on power strokes and bringing subtlety to drop shots. Braid 45 technology increases the flexibility of the racket and improves ball pocketing, allowing you to have the confidence to find the lines with velocity. After a 24-year career, Federer knows a thing or two about staying healthy and reducing the risk of injury, and that’s why the racket features Feel Fill technology, an internal PU foam filling that attenuates vibrations to protect wrists or elbows and improve feel. The true leather grip prevents slippage in the hand and is more wear-resistant while sporting classy RF branding for an iconic finish.

Roger Federer

Roger Federer, born in Switzerland in 1981, is universally acclaimed as one of the greatest tennis players in history. Renowned for his elegance, precision, and effortless style, Federer's game is marked by a powerful serve, versatile shot-making, and an unparalleled one-handed backhand. His ability to adapt his game to different opponents and court surfaces has resulted in multiple Grand Slam titles. Federer, who turned pro in 1998, has also won numerous accolades for sportsmanship and is admired for his enduring competitiveness. He forms part of the legendary "Big Four" in men's tennis.

Wilson

Since 1914, Wilson have focused on one thing: the player. Company founder Thomas Wilson’s ambition was to empower athletes, to make everyone who played sport feel like a pro.

That’s why, starting with the wooden V1 over a century ago, all their rackets have been designed to help you play better tennis and enjoy the game. They’re responsible for some of the sport’s most significant innovations, too, introducing the first leather handle grip in 1935, along with the first commercial metal racket, the legendary T2000, in 1967.

The famous frame saw success almost immediately, with Billie Jean King wielding it to win the US Open that same year. Other players soon recognised the benefits of its steel construction, and the T2000’s domination continued into the 70s and 80s – Jimmy Connors liked it so much, he used it to win all eight of his Grand Slam titles.

Wilson have produced so many of the game’s iconic frames. Prior to the T2000 there was the Jack Kramer, the best-selling racket in tennis history. And after it, perhaps the most iconic racket of all: the Pro Staff. Used by greats such as Edberg, Courier, Graf, Sampras, and, of course, Roger Federer, the Pro Staff has maintained popularity right up to the present day, thanks to its winning combination of power, feel, and control.

In their modern range, the Pro Staff is joined by the powerful Ultra, the feel-focused Blade – as endorsed by Aryna Sabalenka, the spin-based Burn, and the hugely popular Clash, which provides all-round performance for players of any level. Options for everyone, then. That’s the Wilson way.

Wilson RF-01

The Wilson RF-01 range takes the artistry and elegance that Roger Federer plays with and makes it accessible to players of all levels. SABR Frame Design and Glide Guard B&G ensure the racket cuts through the air to produce power from short, fast swings while staying ultra-manoeuvrable to produce subtle spin shots and disruptive net shots. Braid 45 technology provides greater ball pocketing and improved feel, giving all players the confidence to push the ball closer to the lines. At 98 square inches, it’s the largest headsize of racket that the Swiss Maestro has chosen for his personal use, making it more forgiving than his previous 85, 90, and 97 rackets.

Control Racket

Control rackets usually have closed string patterns – essentially, more strings per area – to increase ball contact and give you more control over your shots. They tend to have thinner beams to allow more flex and often utilise material technologies to make you feel more connected to the ball.
