Luxilon is now the number 1 string on tour. As from 2004, Luxilon Big Banger tennis strings is also the official string of the WTA (Women's Tennis Association).

Traditional polyester (poly) is stiff and long-lasting but can feel harsh and lose tension quickly. Co-polyester (co-poly) strings are chemically modified to be softer and more playable while retaining the benefits of poly. Both types are ideal for aggressive baseliners who generate their own power. However, they’re less forgiving on the arm and not recommended for players with elbow or shoulder issues.
