Head GrapheneXT Speed JR - Black/White

The Head Speed GrapheneXT Jnr features all the same technology as the adult racket, but in a size to suit younger players.
HEAD has given its Speed range of tennis rackets a complete overhaul with a striking new design and updated technology. The series incorporates HEAD’s updated GRAPHENE XT technology, which makes the centre of the racket 30% stronger.

The Jnr edition is one inch shorter than the Tour racket, with a length of 26 inches, and weighs in at just 250 grams, ideal for budding young Djokovics.

The Speed Jnr comes with the next stage of HEAD’s revolutionary technology, GRAPHENE XT. Now 30% stronger, it offers enhanced weight distribution, perfect manoeuvrability and a faster swing.

Discovered in 2004, Graphene consists of a single two-dimensional layer of carbon atoms. This material has a breaking strength 200 times greater than steel, which makes it the ultimate substance for creating new HEAD tennis racket frames with exceptional properties. Graphene technology allows for the first time an optimal redistribution of weight in HEAD rackets. Through the use of Graphene in the shaft, the weight in the middle part of the racket can be reduced. Instead, weight can be shifted from the racket shaft to more functionally relevant areas in the tip and grip. This unique construction provides players with an unmatched manoeuvrability and an increased swing weight. In other words, a racket with Graphene is easier to swing and enables even more powerful shots.

HEAD

A brand with a reputation for innovation, HEAD trace their tennis origins back to the late 60s and the creation of the first aluminium-based tennis racket, the brainchild of company founder Howard Head.

Head, a former aeronautics engineer, began a racket revolution with his idea for light yet strong frames. Attracted by the durability of a metal racket, American icon Arthur Ashe stepped in to give a player’s point of view, assisting with development of the original aluminium frame in 1969. A few years later, a HEAD racket was in the hands of a champion, with Ashe famously wielding his signature Competition to win Wimbledon in ’75.

Since then, HEAD have continued to push the boundaries of racket design, utilising all kinds of space-age materials in the quest for ultimate performance. They’ve had many more champion players using their frames, too, from Agassi and Muster in the 90s to Murray, Djokovic, Sharapova and Stephens in the 21st century.

Their modern range has options for every type of play. There’s the ever-popular Prestige, providing absolute precision since 1987, the versatile Radical with its vibrant paintjobs, and the super-fast Speed, which remains Novak’s racket of choice. More recent additions include the aggressive Gravity, endorsed by Sascha Zverev, the spin-focused Extreme, recommended by Matteo Berrettini, and the explosive Boom, a power-focused frame endorsed by US prodigy Coco Gauff. Whichever you choose, you’ll perform at your best with a HEAD racket.
