A single filament that can also be wrapped, monofilament string is usually made with PET. Functional additives considerably improve the strings performance. It is then referred to as a Co – Polyester string, Monofilament strings are the result of complex processes and chemistry, which are adjusted to produce different types of results. Thanks to their unique structure, monofilament strings are the stiffest of all. The main advantages are durability, control and topspin. The perfect choice for competitive players who want a responsive string that won’t break. The injection of micro air bubbles makes this string more flexible than a classic monofilament while still resisting breakage.

Polyester

Polyester strings are popular among advanced and professional players for their durability, control, and spin potential. Traditional polyester (poly) is stiff and long-lasting but can feel harsh and lose tension quickly. Co-polyester (co-poly) strings are chemically modified to be softer and more playable while retaining the benefits of poly. Both types are ideal for aggressive baseliners who generate their own power. However, they’re less forgiving on the arm and not recommended for players with elbow or shoulder issues.
