The 1996 Newcastle United Retro Away Shirt, faithfully recreated by Score Draw, is the shirt that the Geordies wore as they came so close to winning the Premier League.
Keith Gillespie joined Newcastle United on 10 January 1995, as a £1 million component in the £7 million deal which took Andrew Cole to Old Trafford. In three-and-a-half years on Tyneside, Gillespie played 143 games, scoring 13 goals. In both 1995-96 and 1996-97, Newcastle United, with Gillespie, Les Ferdinand, David Ginola, Philippe Albert, Warren Barton, Peter Beardsley and Shaka Hislop in the team, finished as Premier League Runners-Up.
