A little bit of Nike history at your fingertips. The Blazer was only the brand’s third shoe, released back in 1973 for NBA star George “The Iceman” Gervin and bringing a Nike sneaker to the league for the first time. It was in on the ground floor for performance sneakers, making use of the popular vulcanised rubber that was common in the 70s, with a mesh nylon tongue and full leather upper completing a stacked feature list that rose above the competition in those early days of sport shoe tech.
