Get ready for a new season of speed as adidas launch the new-generation X Crazyfast football boots collection as part of the full Crazyrush Pack. Dropping into the World’s Largest Bootroom just in time for pre-season adidas have re-shuffled their lightweight speed offering with new technologies and a choice of three elite editions – each one will be worn by their professional players – but which one is the best fit for you?

Kicking off the adidas Crazyrush Pack, which is joined by corresponding colourways on the Predator Accuracy and COPA Pure, the X Crazyfast arrives as the brand’s updated speed silo in the X legacy for the 2023/24 season. Your choices? Laced, Laceless & Super-lightweight; which together offer best-in-class speed-focused technology to those playing at all levels of the game.

The X Crazyfast collection comes with a new visual design that will have players thinking back to the F50 adizero days with its dual Three Stripe branding on both sides of the boots. Dropping in the cleanest “White/Core Black/Lucid Lemon” colour combination the new-generation boot is ready to burst onto the scene at the Women’s World Cup and onto pre-season pitches. So what are the key differences between the 3 boots? It’ll all come down to personal preference so let us talk you through your options.

X Crazyfast .1 Laced

The more traditional choice from the collection is the laced X Crazyfast .1. Featuring an engineered Primeknit Collar and laces to adjust your fit, this is the option that most professional players have historically gone for – Lionel Messi being one – although we are beginning to see more players adopt the laceless design. 194g of finely tuned innovation targeted and keeping you locked in, agile and hitting your top speed.

The hero of all X Crazyfast models is an update to the innovative SPEEDFRAME soleplate technology. The update includes a replacement of the previous carbon version with a new AEROPLATE insert that makes the overall plate 5g lighter. This update provides optimal comfort and responsiveness, while retaining the same design features for propulsion and dynamic movement, with the stud design built to optimise traction during rapid acceleration.

X Crazyfast .1 Laceless

If you’re after a boot with zero distractions and the largest and cleanest striking zone then the adidas X Crazyfast. 1 Laceless could be for you. Engineered lightweight performance with a locked in feel for comfort at the highest speed, and weighing just 189g they're a tad lighter than the laced editions above. Expect to see players such as Heung-Min Son to take on the laceless edition.

Both of the .1 models boast the AEROCAGE innovation – an engineered lining designed to provide ideal support and stability by hugging the mid-foot, and AEROPACITY SPEEDSKIN – a single layer breathable monomesh which provides comfort throughout the foot and offers a second skin feel.

X Crazyfast+

This is a new option for the adidas X series and drops in as a super-lightweight version of the X Crazyfast. The X Crazyfast+ is stripped right back to deliver the lightest possible match-fit boot for the modern game. Weighing just 174g, the boot features a super-light tongue, laces and sock-liner to keep weight to the absolute minimum. If you want the lightest possible boot, then this is for you.

The X Crazyfast+ provides the next level in innovation to the above options, with a super lightweight upper comprised of single layer AEROPACITY SPEEDSKIN+ molded to the minimalistic AEROCAGE+, both of which have been optimised to be lightweight while still providing support and stability at high speeds.

The full adidas Crazyrush Pack is completed by corresponding colourways on the adidas Predator Accuracy and adidas Copa Pure football boots collections. The Predator is designed for precision, spin and power on the ball while the super-soft Copa Pure delivers ultimate touch and comfort. Both versions are available in laced and laceless across all ground types, sizes and price points.
