The ASICS Metaspeed Edge works in tandem with the ASICS Metaspeed sky to give all types of runners the ultimate in performance running.
While the Sky focuses on runners that improve pace by increasing their stride length, the Metaspeed Edge is designed to allow runners to up their stride speed as well as their stride length when they change speed.
Incredibly lightweight and responsive FF Blast Turbo foam combines with a carbon plate to propel you forward for a fast underfoot feel, while the curved sole design helps to conserve energy with every step.
An engineered mesh upper gives a lightweight, breathable feel with improved comfort. The outsole features ASICGRIP rubber for durability and traction.

Outsole rubber is traditionally the heaviest component of any running shoe, so race day shoes use lighter compounds of rubber, thinner layers, and targeted placement to reduce weight where it really counts. A super-thin upper with minimal overlays saves additional grams for a lightweight feel up top.
To help build your speed, propulsive midsole foams often combine with internal plates to give you the edge and drive you across the line.
