First Look At The Nike Infinity 4
With a new ReactX foam offering improved energy return, and a more sustainable build, the Infinity 4 sees the lines first major remodel since its inception!
A key supportive shoe that is known for both its ability to withstand high milage, and its deep cushioned comfort, the Nike Infinity 4 has landed to make your long runs even faster.
Foot type: Over pronators but also neutral runners.
Weight: 345g (UK Size 9 Men’s)
Stack height: 39mm – 30mm
Heel drop: 9mm
Best for: Long, well supported and well cushioned runs
Now on their 4th iteration, the original Infinity React was launched with much fanfare back in January 2020, by using more React foam than any preceding running shoe, with a wider base, and a more curved outsole, it was claimed on launch that it could reduce running injuries.
Perhaps because so many shoes have followed this blueprint since, Nike don’t really push the injury angle anymore, what you do get though, consistently through the last four iterations, is a heavily cushioned, smooth ride, with a supportive build that makes it work for over pronators and neutral runners alike.
On the eye, a gorgeous upper looks as comfy as it feels and makes the shoe a bit of a cross over shoe, it might be a serious running shoe, but it looks ready for social use too.
Available at launch in four men’s colour ways and three women’s, you can select your own look here at .
Another way it looks great, and different from the preceding models, is the smoother sides to the midsole, the new foam in the midsole gives a brand new, faster looking design to the sidewalls.
the foam that is the big story here. Offering 13% more energy return and a whopping 43% lower carbon footprint than the previous version, this more sustainable material gives a softer, and more responsive feel underfoot, propelling you from stride to stride.
With high side walls, and an even wider fit than the previous model (especially through the midfoot) the Infinity 4 maintains its supportive approach that makes it suitable for overpronators, despite the high stack of soft foam.
The brand new upper, helps to give extra support too. Described by Nike as having the best Nike Runing fit yet, it provides serious lockdown where you need it, and a little stretch and comfort where you don’t. It also features a water repellent finish at the toe box to help keep your feet dry on wet runs.
A brand-new rubber outsole with a waffle design runs the full-length of the shoe, offering excellent traction, and a highly durable finish underfoot.
The Infinity has always been a smooth, supportive running shoe with a style and design that makes it wearable away from your daily runs. This remodel updates the style, improves the performance, and makes the whole thing more sustainable to boot.
From neutral runners who want the cushioning and durability it’s known for, to those that need a little help and extra support from their shoe, the Infinity 4 has re-modelled every single aspect of its construction for improvements throughout.
With the latest version you get a new, better fitting upper for support, comfort, and style, while the new more durable outsole ensures that style lasts. The brand-new midsole offers improved performance with an environmentally conscious build, making an entire package that is hard to miss, so from long term converts, to newcomers to the range, this is the time to grab a pair and see what all the noise is about.
