Part of the 2025/26 Heritage collection, the Springboks retro away shirt is designed in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1995 Rugby World Cup. A classic fold-over collar creates an old-school look, and a special anniversary crest pays tribute to a legendary achievement.After missing the first two Rugby World Cups as a result of anti-apartheid boycotts, a newly democratic South Africa would enter the competition for the first time in 1995 as hosts. With a rugby-loving population but a team with little experience in top-level international rugby, the Boks entered the tournament as underdogs, but quickly challenged expectations with a strong win over Australia and a 3-0 record in the pool stage. Legendary names like Francois Pienaar, Chester Williams and Joel Stransky led the team to a dominant victory over Western Samoa in the quarter-finals, then a tightly contested win over France to book their place in the final against a terrifying, Jonah Lomu-led All Blacks side. The Springboks’ incredible defence completely shut down the best attacking side in the world and kept the scores even to full time. In extra time, Joel Stransky wrote his name in the history books with a tournament-winning drop goal that united a nation.
