The latest Ultra maintains the inherent power potential of the series, with its Dual Taper Beam and inverted Power Rib technology combining with PWS to concentrate mass in key areas, providing stiffness where it counts for emphatic baseline blows and fast-paced passing shots. Crush Zone grommets return to allow compression on impact, boosting ball dwell time on the strings for improved feel – and, again, more power. The new Sweet Spot Channel, meanwhile – the cavity that runs along the inside of the frame – extends the cross strings by 3.5mm, increasing grommet movement and giving you the wide-ranging benefits that entails: power, spin, comfort, and playability. All that tech’s one thing, but perhaps the most striking aspect of this year’s Ultra is its new glossy black and blue paintjob, emphasising the range’s identity as a power-focused racket with a bold, eye-catching look.
