Description

Sharpen your performance with the Wilson Blade 101L V9 tennis racket in Racing Green, a lightweight racket from the popular Blade series, bringing the ultimate blend of control, feel, and stability to the court.

After nearly 20 years of popularity, the Wilson Blade is back to connect aggressive players to the ball. Designed for avid competitors seeking to improve their game, the 101L V9 has a sharper, more stable response than previous iterations, producing an excellent connected-to-the-ball feel. Weighing in at just 275g, it has excellent manoeuvrability. It features a stunning new green paintjob with pops of orange and a matte finish that complements the sharp responses of the frame. With an elastic and reactive Braided Graphite + Basalt material composition that improves the flex of the racket, the V9 enhances feel and control.

Innovative StableFeel technology provides a firmer feel than previous generations, increasing stability and delivering an improved sensation upon impact with the ball. The slightly larger 16x20 string pattern encourages more control, power, and spin, thus promoting your attacking game. For improved torsional stability lower down, DirectConnect sees the carbon fibre handle extend to directly connect with the end cap, better integrating the two and making the entire racket feel more natural as you play your shots. Furthermore, the Blade V9 retains Parallel Drilling at the grommets for a more forgiving sweetspot. The latest bumper and grommet design is easier to apply, more durable, and completes the racket with a smoother finish.

Tennis Racket Profile Guide

Power

Power-oriented tennis rackets are designed to add significant pace and depth to your shots with less physical effort from the player. They typically feature larger head sizes (typically 100–115+ sq in / 645–740+ cm²), stiffer frames, lighter overall weight (often 250–290g unstrung), and an open string pattern (such as 16x19). Many are also slightly longer or head-heavy to help generate easy power through the swing.

These rackets provide a large sweet spot and high trampoline effect, making them forgiving on off-centre hits and ideal for generating depth from the baseline or adding pace on serves. They suit beginners, intermediates, or players who want “free” power without needing an extremely fast swing. However, the extra power can sometimes reduce shot precision, as the ball may launch with a higher trajectory and less predictability if technique isn’t solid.
