Description

Show your full range of shots with the HEAD Radical Jr 2023 tennis racket in Orange/Navy, the modern all-courter’s racket upgraded with Auxetic technology and a suitably bold paintjob.

Dubbed “The People’s Racket” owing to its even more versatile performance, the 2023 edition of the Radical sees the popular frame upgraded with Auxetic technology for enhanced feel and playability.

Applied in the yoke, Auxetic refers to the way the carbon fibre is constructed. The fibres are arranged so that they contract on ball impact, filtering out unwanted vibrations and providing more accurate sensory information as a result. It makes a huge difference on all types of shots, making powerful passing shots and sliced drop shots equally satisfying.

Elsewhere, the latest Radical retains its modern blend of specs and tech, with the stabilising beam and dynamic 16/19 string pattern combining to provide a mix of power, control, and spin.

The Junior edition weighs in at 245g unstrung with a 100 sq. in. headsize – ideal for improving young players who are almost ready for an adult racket.

Tennis Racket Profile Guide

Power

Power rackets feature stiffer constructions and thicker frames that provide easy depth and added pace with minimal effort, helping players generate power on every shot. Compared to spin rackets—another popular category in today’s game—they tend to produce lower shot trajectories while still delivering strong baseline depth without requiring as much physical input. These rackets are often available in 98 square inch head sizes for players who want a balance of power and control, while the more standard 100 square inch versions offer maximum forgiveness.
