Description
Designed to provide control over every aspect of the game, the Dunlop CX 400 features a host of modern technologies to improve feel, accuracy, and comfort. The main new addition for this third generation of the CX is FLEX BOOSTER, a vibration-dampening material integrated into the shaft. Combining with the absorption properties of SONICCORE – the rebound-enhancing tech in the sides of the racket head – FLEX BOOSTER makes the racket easy to handle, offering pinpoint sensory information and long-lasting comfort. Elsewhere, POWERGRID string tech returns, utilising wider crosses at the top of the stringbed to create a larger sweetspot for greater control over off-centre hits. No holding back here – wield the CX with confidence and you’ll be rewarded tenfold. Featuring a classic boxy beam, the CX 400 has the same control-focused design as other rackets in the series, but with a slightly stiffer feel and thicker beam width for easier access to power. Its 100 sq in headsize and 285g unstrung weight make it the ideal choice for intermediate players looking to switch to a control-based frame. Please note this racket will come strung unless the image displays otherwise.

Tennis Racket Profile Guide

Power

Power rackets feature stiffer constructions and thicker frames that provide easy depth and added pace with minimal effort, helping players generate power on every shot. Compared to spin rackets—another popular category in today’s game—they tend to produce lower shot trajectories while still delivering strong baseline depth without requiring as much physical input. These rackets are often available in 98 square inch head sizes for players who want a balance of power and control, while the more standard 100 square inch versions offer maximum forgiveness.
