At the laces, the eyestay is welded and reinforced to help prevent slippage, and on the medial side the upper wraps around the top of the foot for extra protection and durability.

Durability across the board has gone up a level, with improved Adituff abrasion resistance guarding the toe and an outrageously resilient Adiwear 2.0 outsole providing long-lasting traction underfoot. Even the “adidas” letters on the side of the shoe are made from anti-abrasion material.
