New Balance Older Kids 2002 (GS)

Keep young feet active with the New Balance Older Kids 2002 (GS) in Steel, featuring a comfy ABZORB midsole and springy N-ergy outsole for any daily activity.
The New Balance Older Kids 2002 (GS) is ideal for daily use anywhere from playground to street, handling all manner of running and jumping in sturdy style. Some classic muted streetwear lines, suede overlays and hits of mesh show off modern design and signature N details, pairing with nearly anything.

ABZORB technology foams in the midsole help ensure even comfort throughout, while the springy N-ergy outsole ensures durable traction while absorbing blows with every footfall, adding a modern pod look to the rear. NB's Stability Web technology also adds arch support.

New Balance

Founded by William J. Riley in 1906, New Balance started small, producing highly flexible, three-point arch supports for those that suffered discomfort wearing shoes, all inspired by the daily balancing acts performed by Williams’ own backyard chickens as they nimbly navigated the coop. Chasing supportive, innovative comfort from the moment it was born over a century ago, New Balance would become a sporting shoe manufacturer of import among both athletes and basketballers, loved for its specialist footwear.

Rolling on to 1972, under new owner Jim Davis, New Balance foresaw a shift in the market. Hoping to ride the wave of casual style and streetwear, they began a push for leisure time products and comfy, all-day pieces that would eventually be sought-after from coast to coast and beyond, all renowned for their quality and comfort. From retro-inspired icons such as the 327 and 420 to the newer Fresh Foam cushioning technology pieces of today, New Balance has never stopped developing and has a deep collection of classic leather and suede silhouettes that will always look and feel superb.

2002R

Released in 2010, the original 2002 was a technical performance runner, stacking up some of NB’s latest technologies, including a full-length N-ERGY midsole with its distinctive pod design. Unfortunately, it didn’t really catch on, appreciated but languishing in the catalogues to be reborn later. Roll on to 2019 and suddenly the fashion world is obsessed with chunky heels and the hunt is on to find those archived, retro classics hidden deep in the history of key players like New Balance. Once again reborn as the 2002R under the watchful eye of NB Japan’s Tetsuya Shono, this lifestyle shoe brings the hybrid, comfort midsole of its cousin the 860v2, showing off the signature N-ERGY cushioning in the heel. Truly a textbook case of relaunched popularity, the 2002R series is now blessed with an expanding range of new colourways and designs, ideal for elevating any look you’re putting together.
New Balance 2002R

The New Balance 2002R is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic 2002 running shoe which first burst onto the scene in the early 2000s. It has quickly become a favourite among sneaker enthusiasts with its combination of high-quality suede, mesh, and leather in its upper, offering both durability and a luxurious feel. Equipped with New Balance’s ABZORB and N-ergy cushioning technologies, the 2002R provides exceptional shock absorption and support. With an equal balance between vintage and modern design, with its retro running shoe silhouette complemented by contemporary colourways and details.
