Kookaburra Torre G1 Cricket Bat - Blue - White
Ideal for the game changing player who employs a combination of crunching drives, delicate sweeps and ramps, you believe that anything is possible. As an improvising shotmaker you catch the eye and relish the challenge of stepping up to the plate.

Kookaburra
From 90s classics such as the Bubble to Ricky Ponting’s favourite, the Kahuna, Kookaburra bats are ingrained in cricket culture around the world.
It’s easy to see why: not only are their bats of exceptional quality, they also have particularly classy branding, combining clean, modern styling with iconic colours and logos. Anyone using a Kookaburra bat inevitably looks good at the crease.
The Melbourne-based manufacturers have been in business for well over 100 years, originally under the name of company founder AG Thompson.
A saddler and harness-maker by trade, Thompson immigrated to Australia in 1888, set up shop in Brighton, and was quickly faced with a significant threat to his livelihood: the rise of the automobile. Seeing a decline in the demand for his usual wares as a result, he turned his leatherworking skills to making cricket balls. As a nod to Brighton’s native wildlife, he called them “Kookaburra”.
Aided by his sons, AG slowly but surely turned Kookaburra balls into a global brand. Eventually, the Kookaburra name became so well known that they’d use it for all their sporting goods, including bats, with the switch becoming official in 1990.
They remain a family-run company to this day, with multiple generations of Thompsons still involved, maintaining the focus on quality and craftsmanship that’s served them so well for so many years.
