Kookaburra Stealth Junior 3.1 Cricket Bat

Strike at will with the Kookaburra Stealth 3.1 Junior Cricket Bat in Black, featuring a huge power profile for devastating big hits.
A new addition to the Kookaburra range, the Stealth is designed for maximum power in every respect.Utilising the shorter blade, longer handle combo that’s so popular in the modern game, it produces exceptional swing speed to go with its massive profile. Don’t worry about clearing the rope – you’ll be clearing the stands with the Stealth. Kookaburra’s stickers for 2024 are clean and minimalist on the front to let the quality of your play speak for itself. On the back, modern asymmetrical graphics show off series colours.

Kookaburra

By far the biggest Australian cricket brand, Kookaburra are responsible for some of the most popular bats in the history of the game.

From 90s classics such as the Bubble to Ricky Ponting’s favourite, the Kahuna, Kookaburra bats are ingrained in cricket culture around the world.

It’s easy to see why: not only are their bats of exceptional quality, they also have particularly classy branding, combining clean, modern styling with iconic colours and logos. Anyone using a Kookaburra bat inevitably looks good at the crease.

The Melbourne-based manufacturers have been in business for well over 100 years, originally under the name of company founder AG Thompson.

A saddler and harness-maker by trade, Thompson immigrated to Australia in 1888, set up shop in Brighton, and was quickly faced with a significant threat to his livelihood: the rise of the automobile. Seeing a decline in the demand for his usual wares as a result, he turned his leatherworking skills to making cricket balls. As a nod to Brighton’s native wildlife, he called them “Kookaburra”.

Aided by his sons, AG slowly but surely turned Kookaburra balls into a global brand. Eventually, the Kookaburra name became so well known that they’d use it for all their sporting goods, including bats, with the switch becoming official in 1990.

They remain a family-run company to this day, with multiple generations of Thompsons still involved, maintaining the focus on quality and craftsmanship that’s served them so well for so many years.

Grade 3

Very good quality willow that offers a balance between performance and looks. A popular, middle-of-the-road option, Grade Three bats are produced in large numbers and often represent the best value for money of any grade. Cosmetically, as much as half of the blade can be coloured wood, and you might find small knots or specks on any area of the bat. The face should typically have at least five grains, but they might not be as straight as on higher grades.

Please note that these are typical characteristics. While we work closely with our partner brands to provide the best bats for you, we are unable to guarantee a specific number of grains or the overall appearance of the willow on individual bats.
