Chase Vortex Player Junior Cricket Bat

Play explosive cricket with the Chase Vortex Player Junior Cricket Bat in Blue/Pink/Orange.

With its massive edges, huge middle, and shorter blade, the Vortex is built for the kind of big hits that stun the opposition and the crowd. Thanks to some clever shaping, the bat feels light in the hand as you manoeuvre into position, while the round handle allows quick hand adjustment for cross-bat shots and late improvisation. When you’re on a roll with the Vortex, it’s truly unstoppable, making it the ideal choice for players who like to dominate the game with quicks runs and relentless attack.

Chase

First stepping up to the crease as a trailblazing batmaker in the 90s, Chase combine eye-catching graphics with traditional artisan craftsmanship to create bats that look superb and perform even better.

Chase bats are made by hand in their Hampshire workshop, using locally sourced willow that’s selected for its appearance and integrity. At every stage of manufacture, each bat is checked to make sure it meets Chase’s meticulous standards. Once the bat reaches its final shape, it’s then knocked in for four hours to compress the willow and generate the satisfying rebound that all cricketers appreciate.

The Chase range includes the traditional Volante and the big-hitting Vortex, with the ever-popular Finback sitting in between as a dynamic, all-round option. Then there’s the famous Four Leaf Clover, a hefty bat with a huge lower sweetspot that produces devastating power on the drive. And finally, there’s the Platinum, the absolute premium choice, crafted from willow that’s personally selected by Chase’s master batmaker. Only 20 Platinum bats are made each year, so if that’s what you’re after, pick one up while you can.

Grade 2

High-quality willow that often performs as well as Grade One but isn’t quite as cosmetically clean. Grade Two bats usually feature at least six visible grains on the face with perhaps the odd knot or blemish. Compared to Grade One, they may feature a larger amount of red wood towards the edge of the blade. The best “butterfly” blades, which use willow with a naturally occurring butterfly-shaped stain, are also typically classified as Grade Two.

Please note that these are typical characteristics. While we work closely with our partner brands to provide the best bats for you, we are unable to guarantee a specific number of grains or the overall appearance of the willow on individual bats.
