Introducing NEOCORE.

With a revolutionary cored internal scoop and new patented handling technology, the NEOCORE offers full profile bats with no concaving and dense, player grade willow, all with an unparalleled lightweight pick-up.

The NEOCORE features a new handle design which moves away from the traditional splice application with a pinned handle. The handle inserts into the core of the bat with thicker shoulders making for an incredibly strong and durable joint.

The “Cored Internal Scoop” allows to redistribute mass towards the handle of the bat which in turn gives a far improved pick up and an increase in perimeter weighting.

A Sustainable Future
This internal scoop allows Gray-Nicolls NEOCORE bats to be made with far denser willow, meaning that it will feature a far larger profile and help to optimise performance. It also increases sustainability, with denser willow that was once deemed too heavy and unusable for stock bats which dramatically reduces wastage.

Scale Weight vs Pick Up
We all know that cricketers views of what makes a good bat can be drastically different, especially when it comes to weight. NEOCORE challenges and changes the weight vs pick up argument as the weight of the bat in the hand will feel considerably different to the scale or dead weight of the bat itself. The bat will potentially feel 2-3oz lighter in the hand due to the balance and pick up of the profile with the new handle technology.

Gray-Nicolls have taken 4 years to get the NEOCORE to market from it’s first conception to being a product that will be on the shelves in November. The bat was handed out in secret to their sponsored players including Shan Masood, John Simpson & Tammy Beaumont without their knowledge that it was slightly different to their usual bat. The tests proved fruitful with runs and hundreds scored a plenty and the performance of the bat never questioned. Gray-Nics knew they were on to a winner.
