Meet the PDRC Team Taking on the 2026 Berlin Marathon

This September, Pro:Direct Running and adidas are taking three runners to the Berlin Marathon, representing Pro Running Club on one of the biggest race weekends in the calendar.

LANS (@livelans), Liv Clayton (@laceupwithliv) and Ellis Taylor (@ellistaylor) are all heading to Berlin with different goals and very different relationships with running.

We’ve been following the build over the past few months as long runs got longer, sessions became more specific and race day started to feel a lot closer. On Sunday 27 September, they finally get to see what all of that work has added up to.

Here’s who will be wearing PDRC colours in Berlin.

LANS – @livelans

Runner. Filmmaker. Storyteller.

Running has always been about more than the watch for LANS.

Based in London, his work sits between running and filmmaking, documenting the sessions, people, places and smaller moments that come with the sport. The training matters, but so does everything around it.

That has made the road to Berlin a natural story to follow. The long runs, the good days, the sessions that do not quite go to plan and the discipline of putting another week together have all been part of the build.

Now comes the bit you cannot recreate in training. 42.2 kilometres through Berlin with months of work behind him.

Chasing 3:30

Liv’s target is easy to understand and much harder to execute: break three hours and 30 minutes.

Her running content has always shown both sides of training. The strong sessions and race-day excitement are there, but so are the tired legs, difficult runs and normal life happening around the mileage.

Berlin gives her a proper shot at turning that training into a time.

A sub-3:30 marathon means averaging just under five minutes per kilometre for the full 42.2K. There is not much room for getting carried away early, missing nutrition or switching off when the race gets difficult.

We’ll find out in Berlin whether the work has put her where she wants to be.

Ellis Taylor – @ellistaylor

Running Beyond Race Day.

Ellis comes at running from a slightly different angle, with sport, style and everyday life all sharing the same space.

That reflects where running culture is now. Shoes and sessions still matter, but the sport has become part of a much wider world of fashion, travel, community and creativity.

Berlin is the biggest physical test of that journey so far.

The training has been building for months. Race weekend is where Ellis gets to stop talking about preparation and start racing.

Next Stop: Berlin

The Berlin Marathon takes place on Sunday 27 September, sending thousands of runners through the German capital for 42.2 kilometres.

For LANS, Liv and Ellis, the challenge looks slightly different. There are individual goals, different training stories and three very different runners arriving at the same start line.

Pro:Direct Running and adidas will be with them through the final days of preparation, race weekend and, eventually, the finish.
