Pro:Direct Running at the ESAA Cross Country Championships 2026
Pro:Direct Running was at the 2026 ESAA Cross Country Championships in Sefton Park, Liverpool, with a team of 16 staff on site for one of the biggest days in the schools running calendar.
Around 3,500 of the best 12 to 18-year-old cross country runners in the country were there representing their counties, with more than 5,000 people at the event across the day including parents, coaches and team managers. It made for a busy one from the start, with a proper championship feel around the park.
For us, it was a great chance to be there in person and be part of an event that means a lot in junior running. This is where the next generation of runners are competing, and it was good to spend time around that level of athlete and the wider community around them.
Events like this always have a different feel to them. County vests, nervous energy before races, parents and teams moving around together, and a lot of young athletes taking on a big occasion. Sefton Park was packed with talent all day, and it was great for Pro:Direct Running to be part of it.
