The limited-edition collection brings Umbro’s football archive into Highsnobiety’s world: striped knitwear, matching shorts, socks and a Sheffield-made turf shoe built around the debut silhouette from Umbro’s upcoming series.
The collection keeps the football references close without overworking them. Umbro’s archive is there in the shape, branding and colour palette, but Highsnobiety pulls it into a cleaner lifestyle space. It feels familiar without looking like a throwback.
The shoe does a lot of the heavy lifting. Crafted in the UK, it marks Umbro’s return to producing performance footwear on home soil, adding a proper British football detail to a drop built for now.
Highsnobiety’s early release has already moved quickly, with the footwear sold out and most apparel now limited. Pro:Direct launches the collection today as an official retailer, alongside selected stock through Umbro UK.
Before the online drop, Highsnobiety x Umbro arrived at PDFC Manchester for a one-off footwear workshop with @jarpz_. Guests came through the Manchester Arndale store on 30 June to customise pieces from the collection, with limited spaces, gifted footwear and a room full of energy.
Less launch party, more workshop. Shoes on tables, graphics worked into the upper, people using the footwear as a blank space for their own ideas. Umbro gave the shape, Highsnobiety gave the mood, and the room added the rest.
