The Best Football Shirts 26/27

The Best Football Shirts 26/27

The best football shirts of 2026/27 have had a few months to earn their place now. I've collected shirts for years and still spend far too much time looking at new kits, old kits and the small details that make one stick while another disappears after launch week. By October, you normally know which ones have lasted.

This is the Pro:Direct edit, picked by me: the 2026/27 football shirts I keep coming back to from everything we've seen so far. Home shirts, away kits, third shirts, goalkeeper shirts and even one pre-match top made it in. There is no ranking and no attempt to call any of this objective. Just my picks from the best football kits of 2026/27 so far, with the list staying live as more shirts land through the season.

Nike Inter Milan 2026/27 Away Shirt

The monogram crest got me straight away. Nike has properly committed to the baseball idea with the white base, blue pinstripes and oversized Inter mark, rather than just borrowing the pattern and leaving it there. It looked different when it launched and still does now. Easy pick.

adidas Originals Boca Juniors 2026/27 Away Shirt

This is exactly the sort of shirt that sends me down an old-kit rabbit hole. White and navy takes Boca back to the club's early colours and Genoese roots, while the pinstripes bring the 2006/07 away shirt into it too. Old crest, Trefoil, little 1905 anchor detail. Loads to like without it feeling like a retro remake.

NOCTA Venezia 2026/27 Long-Sleeve Home Shirt

Long sleeves already help, obviously. The black body, orange and green bands and proper collar are very Venezia, with those colours pulling from the flags in the VeneziaMestre end. NOCTA gets its moment without taking over the shirt. One of the kits I think I'll associate most with this season.

Jordan Bromma IF 2026 Home Shirt

PSG and then... Bromma. Brilliant. Jordan could have gone after another obvious giant and instead chose one of Sweden's great talent factories, a club linked with players like Gyokeres, Kulusevski and Bergvall. The red, black and white shirt is strong too, but honestly the whole idea behind the collaboration is what gets it onto my list.

Nike Corinthians 2026/27 Home Shirt

This gets better once you know the story. It marks 50 years since the 1976 Invasao Corinthiana, when more than 70,000 Corinthians supporters travelled to the Maracana. The off-white base and older crest take it straight back to that period. Great story, great badge, very little else needed.

Nike Paris Saint-Germain 2026/27 Home Shirt

The Hechter stripe is properly back. Wider through the middle, crest and Swoosh sitting inside it, blue everywhere else. PSG have moved that stripe around enough over the years that seeing it back like this immediately feels right. Sometimes the obvious answer is the best one.

PUMA RB Leipzig 2026/27 Away Shirt

You notice the red and yellow first, and there is a lot of it. Get closer and the tonal pattern is made from heart-shaped linden leaves, linking Leipzig, the club and its supporters. That's the sort of detail I like. The shirt works from across the pitch, then gives you something else when you actually look at it.

adidas Originals Manchester United 2026/27 Away Shirt

Blue United away shirts have a habit of becoming cult favourites, so this already had my attention. Royal blue, red Three Stripes, Trefoil and that red-and-white collar bring plenty of old adidas United into it without copying one specific shirt. I wasn't fully sold in summer. By October, I am.

Nike Chelsea 26/27 Dri-FIT Pre-Match Third Shirt

View all

Yes, it's a pre-match shirt. I'm still letting it in. Chelsea's wider third collection leans into early-'90s Nike, but this is the piece I keep stopping on. Big circular graphic, Chelsea blue, red detailing and the old shield crest. No massive hidden story here. It just looks very good.

NOCTA Venezia 2026/27 Third Shirt

I tried not to put Venezia in twice. Then this turned up. The jacquard uses nautical signal flags to spell VENEZIA, while the new Winged Lion crest is full of references to the city, right down to six feathers for the six sestieri. Proper shirt-nerd stuff, and exactly why this one deserves a closer look.

adidas Originals Liverpool 26/27 Goalkeeper Away Long-Sleeve Shirt

View all

Old goalkeeper shirts are one of my weaknesses, mostly because brands used to get away with absolute nonsense on them and somehow make it work. This pulls from Liverpool's purple 1994/95 keeper look, then gives you the Trefoil and long sleeves on top. I don't need another goalkeeper shirt. That has never really stopped me before.

adidas Originals Real Madrid 26/27 Away Shirt

Green Real Madrid always catches my eye because you don't see it that often. There is a line back to the 2012/13 away shirt here, but it isn't trying to recreate it. Darker green, tonal pattern, white details, Trefoil. It felt a little strange when it first came out. A few months later, I really like it.

adidas Originals Arsenal 26/27 Away Shirt

Anyone who has collected football shirts for a while knows the Bruised Banana immediately. adidas has flipped it onto navy here rather than just making the 1991 shirt again, which was definitely the right move. You still get the geometry and details, but it feels like a new Arsenal away rather than another excuse to sell us the same retro shirt. I say that as someone who'd probably buy both.

The Best Football Shirts 2026/27 So Far

My collection did not need any help this season, but here we are. Inter and Boca were early favourites, Venezia have somehow ended up with two spots and Bromma is exactly the sort of release I never would have predicted when this list started.

That's why I'll keep changing it. New shirts are still landing and some will look completely different once we've lived with them for a few months. For now, these are the best football shirts of 2026/27 from where I'm sitting.

I've spent most of my life playing football, with running filling the gaps when the pitches are waterlogged. Somewhere along the way, I've developed a bit of an obsession with football boots and running shoes. From fit and feel to the latest tech, I'm usually the person people ask about footwear. Just don't ask my teammates how often I change boots.
