We are right in the middle of shirt release season now. Retro references, manufacturer changes, long sleeves trying to make a comeback and the odd good shirt getting flattened by a sponsor that is slightly too big.

So, in no particular order, these are the best football shirts of 2026/27 on our site so far. The list will keep changing as more come out, so do not worry if your favourite is not here yet. It might not be released on site, or I am too busy staring at shirts and not writing about them.

Nike FC Barcelona 2026/27 Home Shirt

I kind of get Netflix opening intro vibes from this one. The stripes have that blurred, moving look and with Lamine Yamal wearing it next season, you already know you are about to get a show.

PUMA St. Pauli 2026/27 Home Shirt

Football as a fashion final boss. Brown kits can go wrong very quickly, but this one gets it right. Jackson Irvine and his lovely moustache wearing it all season only helps.

Nike Chelsea 2026/27 Home Shirt

Chelsea having no front sponsor really plays into this shirt's favour. It gives the design room to breathe and lets the blue and gold details do the work without a massive logo dropped across the middle.

adidas RC Lens 2026/27 Away Shirt

The Trefoil is out and the Lens colours are worked into the details. It is darker and more controlled than the home shirt, but still has enough Lensois pride running through it.

PUMA Borussia Dortmund 2026/27 Long-Sleeve Home Shirt

Normalise players wearing long-sleeve kits again. Dortmund yellow, black details and sleeves down to the wrist. This already looks built for a European night under the lights.

Nike Corinthians 2026/27 Home Shirt

Nice and clean, this one. White shirt, black details, Corinthians badge. Less can still be more when the club identity is strong enough to carry it.

Nike Paris Saint-Germain 2026/27 Home Shirt

PSG looking like PSG is always a good starting point. The central stripe gives it that proper home-shirt feel again, with enough retro influence without turning it into a straight remake.

New Balance Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2026/27 Away Shirt

A tribute to Leverkusen's reputation as the City of Colours, and they have taken that pretty literally. It is bright, different and much more interesting than playing it safe with another dark away shirt.

PUMA Manchester City 2026/27 Home Shirt

A sky blue kit for the Sky Blues. Simple, yes, but it still feels like City from the other end of the pitch, which is usually the whole point of a home shirt.
