Nike x Kids of Immigrants Bring a New Identity to Tiempo
Nike x Kids of Immigrants Bring a New Identity to Tiempo
The Nike Tiempo moves from the streets to pitch and back again with a truly unique collaboration with streetwear label Kids of
Immigrants, bringing culture and community to the pitch for the first time.
If Kids of Immigrants is a new name to you, they're a Los Angeles label built around heritage and community founded in 2016 by Daniel Buezo and Weleh Dennis.
Both those founders families have roots in Honduras and Liberia, and the label has built its identity around celebrating where you come from and bringing people together.
The Kids of Immigrants - or K.O.I. for short - and Nike story began in 2024 with the Air Max Sunder, before taking a football-inspired turn with a Total 90 collection earlier this year.
Now K.O.I. has been given licence to collab on their first football boot with this bold Tiempo collection.
The Tiempo Maestro Elite brings back the Sundial yellow of that original
Sunder release, blending into orange and red across a striking new upper.
Sunset-inspired moulding, topographic references to the founders' heritage and
an iridescent soleplate featuring 'JUST DO IT. TOGETHER' transform a top-tier
Tiempo into something unmistakably K.O.I.
But K.O.I. and Nike have gone one further than just elite performance as there's a matching Streetgato trainer, bringing the story to small-sided football
and everyday wear. There’s loads of subtle details included too such as the KOI meets Air logo, travel passport, as well as easter eggs like the Air Jordan 13 inspired holographic tongue logo.
Expect big hitting Tiempo names like Matheus Cunha to sport the boots on pitch, as already seen during Manchester United training.
The only downside? There's a bit of a wait to get your hands on a pair as the Nike Tiempo x Kids of Immigrants lands at the World's Best Bootroom Pro Direct Soccer on 17th November.
