Kylian Mbappe Goes Gold in the New Mercurial Superfly 11

Gold has been circling Kylian Mbappe's Nike story for years. Bondy Dreams, trophies, signature details and those early signs that Mercurial had found its next main man.

Gold, But Not Polished

The new Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 Mbappe looks closer to metal fresh from the mould than a trophy sitting behind glass. The rough gold finish gives it some bite, cut through by a turquoise Swoosh, white laces and pale mint underfoot.

The Mercurial Superfly 11 Elite drops the high knitted collar, leaving a low-cut silhouette that looks cleaner and gives the ankle more freedom. After years of spotting Superfly by the cuff, the difference now sits beneath the foot.

FlyWeave Ultra wraps the foot closely, with a forefoot Air Zoom unit and ZoomX foam adding a springier feel as the stride opens. Nike positions Vapor 17 around quick cuts and tight-space movement. Superfly 11 is the one for players who find grass and keep going.

It is still Mercurial. Snug, direct and less forgiving if you need extra room across the forefoot. For the winger or forward who wants the boot held close at speed, that is the appeal.

Made for the Escape

Mbappe has never needed much space. A defender shifts their weight, the ball moves half a yard and the chase has already started.

That makes him the obvious player for this version of Superfly. The old model announced itself around the ankle. This one waits until he opens his stride.
