Mad Quick, Mad Fast and Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford, a new duo of Mercurials, Atlético Madrid's training ground and a go-kart track. Sensible boot testing, basically.

This one starts with the new Nike Mercurials: Mercurial Vapor for Mad Quick, Mercurial Superfly for Mad Fast. Same speed family, two different moods. The Vapor sits low, light and sharp for the player who wants the first touch away from pressure. The Superfly feels more loaded and locked in, built for the runner who opens the pitch up and wants that extra punch underfoot. We got both on pitch, talked through the changes, then put the whole speed thing to the least scientific test possible.

Rashford has worn the Mercurial through some proper moments, so getting his view on the new generation felt right. How the boot feels, what players want from speed, why those small details matter when the game starts moving quickly. Then, because football launches should still have a bit of chaos about them, we went go-karting. Watch the full video and choose your side: Mad Quick or Mad Fast.
