Football Boot Care Guide

Every player needs this football boot care guide. From cleaning football boots after a muddy Sunday to keeping studs tight for matchday, these simple maintenance tips keep your pair performing week after week.

Inside, you will find step-by-step advice on how to look after boots properly. Care for them right and they will look after your game.

⚠️ Boot Surface Warning

Only wear boots on the surfaces they were built for:

  • FG = Firm natural grass
  • AG = 3G / 4G artificial turf
  • SG = Wet, muddy natural pitches
  • TF = Cages and astro turf
  • IC = Indoor courts

Using boots on the wrong surface can cause damage not covered by warranty. Never put boots in the washing machine or dry them on radiators, heaters, or in a tumble dryer.

Boots worn outside cannot be returned unless faulty. Try your New FG Mizunos on carpet first.

🔧 Tools You'll Need

  • Boot cleaning brush
  • Microfibre cloth
  • Mild soap
  • Warm water
  • Newspaper
  • Leather balm (for leather boots only)
  • Stud key
  • Optional odour control
