Air Jordan 36 Low
Form follows function for the flagship Jordan release. Peak performance shoe for rocking not reselling. And always nice to drip with some nostalgia. The 36 is no different.
We saw the herringbone pattern debut on the 34 and Jordan brand see no reason to switch this out for the latest generation. The grip is so consistent no matter what the court you can cut inn any direction and the Air Jordan XXXVI just gives you the traction you need.
The 36 rides on a full length strobel board Zoom Air setup. You get a super cushioned ride with plenty of court feel as the Zoom Air sits closer to the foot directly under the insole. There’s also a front loaded Zoom Air unit in the forefoot, which gives the 36 an even springier sensation for plenty of explosive energy return. Combine this with considered impact protection you can’t ask for much more from your performance basketball shoes.
Lockdown is on point with the Air Jordan 36, all the support boxes are ticked with exactly what you need – an internal heel counter, midfoot shank plate. From the forefoot all the way to the ankle, you’re delivered a secure fit every time you lace up.
The headline on the XXVI is the leno jacquard weave, the material that makes the upper appear see-through yet structurally is as strong as an ox without adding significant weight. It’s lightweight, breathable but above all else strong, despite the visual look.
So where does that leave the 36th iteration of the games’ most iconic models? Simply all the boxes you need ticked, are done so with effortless ease. One of the stand out shoes of the year? Absolutely.
