Sisterhood
Sisterhood is about coming together to uplift and empower women, and few things embody this spirit better than the iconic brands of Jordan and Nike. From basketball courts to running tracks, these brands have become synonymous with female empowerment, providing women with the tools they need to achieve greatness and break barriers.
We were fortunate to have the opportunity to speak with six boundary-pushing women to learn about their perspectives on Sisterhood and see how they’d wear the collection

"We are stronger together and when we collaborate, and shout about one another’s successes, we can really take it to the next level"

What does 'sisterhood' mean to you?
Sisterhood is the most important influence and part of my life. Platonic relationships that are supportive, loving, healing and all-encompassing.

Which females influence/inspire you?
The women in my life that have shown up in ways that are irreplaceable and inspire me with their accomplishments, empathy, and dedication each and every day.

How do you think women can support and empower each other?
Keep sharing and celebrating each other’s achievements. We are stronger together and when we collaborate, and shout about one another’s successes, we can really take it to the next level.

“Sisterhood is connection. A connection that unites women in their shared experiences, struggles, and triumphs”

What does 'sisterhood' mean to you?
Sisterhood is connection. A connection that unites women in their shared experiences, struggles, and triumphs.

Which females influence/inspire you?
Most of us are not living in environments that allow us to be exactly who we are. How do we fit in the world that we're around? How do you be in congress with yourself? I am inspired by women who move to their own kind of spirit, clock, flow.  Like Nina Simone. Women who want to shake things up.  Most are afraid to be as honest as she lived.

How do you think women can support and empower each other?
No one can do it alone. The strongest woman is not who can stand on their own, but she who is most connected. Who makes herself vulnerable to others. True strength lies in exposing ourselves to others' pain and suffering, in being open to intimacy. Mentorship is everything. Peer support is needed, but it’s so empowering to have women with more life experiences in your corner. Mentors that take an active interest and act as a guiding force are transformative.

“Sisterhood is togetherness, sisterhood is unity”

What does 'sisterhood' mean to you?
Sisterhood is about community. A community is developed through transparency and shared experiences that bring women together for the better. Whether a young girl or an adult woman, we all have something we can relate to. Sisterhood is togetherness, sisterhood is unity.

“WE ARE STRONG, WE ARE POWERFUL AND WE HAVE A VOICE THAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD!”

What does 'sisterhood' mean to you?
To me Sisterhood means empowerment, strong, fearless women coming together to achieve one goal. They pave the way for future generations by relentless powerful images and raising awareness for women in sport and society.

Which females influence/inspire you?
My female influence is my mum, who is a strong woman, a role model, who has overcome hardship, achieved goals beyond expectations while fighting for equality and justice for women.

How do you think women can support and empower each other?
Have more campaigns for women not just because it's International Women's Day but because women contribute so much more to society. WE ARE STRONG, WE ARE POWERFUL AND WE HAVE A VOICE THAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD! I would also love to see more events for women. Most importantly to encourage women to support women in business, sport, and life. This must start from a young age, more often than not we are the minority and it's important we stick together and not against each other.

“Create a safe environment for women to be free and express themselves”

What does Sisterhood mean to you?
Sisterhood means a group of women whatever your background forming a bond and helping each other out.

Which females influence/inspire you?
Serena Williams because she was able to dominate the tennis court before she was pregnant, had a baby and returned to compete at a high level.

How to do you think women can support and empower each other?
By uplifting each other and recognising and sharing their achievements. Create a safe environment for women to be free and express themselves.

In a world where women still face many obstacles and challenges, a sense of sisterhood is more important than ever. By celebrating the achievements of female athletes and promoting a message of strength, resilience, and unity, Jordan and Nike are helping to create a world where women can thrive and succeed on their own terms.
The brand has played a powerful role in empowering women, both in sports and in culture. From providing women with the tools they need to succeed on the court or in the gym, to inspiring them to push past their limits and reach new heights of achievement, they have become symbols of strength, determination, and self-expression.
So, whether you're a seasoned athlete or a newcomer to the world of sports and fitness, take heart in the knowledge that you are part of a sisterhood that stretches across the globe. And know that, with the support of brands like Jordan and Nike, you have the power to achieve anything you set your mind to. Let's keep pushing the boundaries and breaking down barriers, together.
